One of Europe's most "widely heard" radio masts at Lopik was felled this morning at 10:45 local time. Charges of dynamite at the bases of the guy anchors and just ten second slater the lovely mast , which has carried many stations (Hilversum III, Radio 10 Gold, Carrow Classic Rock and more recently Radio maria) was lying across the ground. A sad day for AM radio.
