7. great memories to all offshore radio fans

At Radio Mi Amigo International we are ‘Bringing back the Golden Era of Offshore AM Radio’. We try to re-create their wonderful AM sound and music as if they would still be here today. But many of our listeners want to know more: "What did he ships and studio’s look like? Who where the DJ’s? What was life on board a radio ship really like?"

One of our DJ’s, Lion Keezer, worked on board Radio Caroline in the early ’70 and visited many of the other ships as well. Last year he created the iBook ‘Pirate Radio Ship’s in the 70’s (for iPad and Mac’s). A large collection of 430 detailed photographs + audio and video clips, taken on board the pirate radio ships that were active in the 70’s, in all their glory and sometimes during less glorious moments. A personal, insider view of the romantic and inspiring ships that once rocked Europe's airwaves. Featuring: Radio Caroline (3 ships), Radio North Sea International, Radio Veronica, The Peace Ship (with Abie Nathan) and Capital Radio's ship the King David.

For those who remember their sounds or who always wanted to know what these ships were all about, this is the best way to have a good look at them and revisit the Golden Era of Offshore Pirate Radio.

The book can be downloaded from the Apple iBooks Store here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/pirate-radio-ships-in-the-70s/id919352514?mt=11&uo=4
And there is also this website with more information here: www.keezer.nl/radio - or visit Lion’s DJ profile on our website for a direct link to the book ‘Pirate Radio Ships in the 70’s.

More great news to come in the next regular Newsletter around mid-October.

Keep on listening to the golden era of offshore am radio.

kind regards

your Radio Mi Amigo International Team
