Radio MiAmigo International (via Kall-Krekel)

Radio MiAmigo International, transmitting from Kall-Krekel, was logged on February 21st, 2016, from 08:45 to 09:05 UTC on frequency on 6005 kHz. It was their traditional frequency, and considering I still can't get Radio MiAmigo broadcasts here, this one was monitored from Enschede SDR (as one listener said, "that was QSL cheating")

Anyway, SINPO was 34243 - as usual, with a lot of noise, but then there is just something that made this broadcast clear enough to listen Radio MiAmigo in his full shine. There was minor inteference, but that could be transmitter noise actually. At times, Radio MiAmigo wasn't even hearable, but that was fixed really fast.

15 minutes of broadcast, yet you can hear many interesting things on Radio MiAmigo. Apart from wonderful rockabilly and pop songs (which included Karyn White's "The Way You Love Me"), there was identification a couple of times on English and German. They used a mashup of those two languages on shortwave - but who cares when they have arguably wonderful music there?

Anyway, reception report was emailed to them.

Radio MiAmigo's Newsflash (RIP Axel Borsdorf)

Radio MiAmigo's QSL card

Welcome to a short newsflash, the normal Newsletter will be arround mid March for you with a lot of news.

Sad news for RNI Fans. February 11th Axel Borsdorf died in his hometown Lörrach-Haagen at the age of 67 after a year’s long battle with cancer. As ‘Axel’ he worked in 1970 for some months as deejay on the radioship MEBO II, which had Radio Nordsee International as base from February 1970 up till the end of August 1974.

We decide to give you a memory of Axel and will boadcast a show, which he did in July 1970 for the german service of RNI.

RZ3DBI QSL card

Well, I also get ham radio QSL cards, as I have said before.

There is nothing much to say about this one. Reception report for RTTY was filed on 21st July, 2015. RZ3DBI, or mr. Maxim Kozhukov sent me this e-QSL card today. I can't remember the frequncy.

Voice of Indonesia (via Jakarta-Cimanggis)

Voice of Indonesia, transmitting from Jakarta-Cimanggis, was heard on February 26th, 2016 from 17:20-17:40 UTC. Frequency was their standard, 9525 (or 9526) kHz.

Spanish service was observed, with male commentary, and Spanish guitar playing in the background. After that, there was female commentary, with pop song playing next. It had drums, and it was pretty loud for a pop song.

Transmitter noise degraded SINPO a bit, making it 54555, but surprisingly, I managed to hear Voice of Indonesia after a long time (maybe 5 months or so?). 

Now, getting QSL card from Voice of Indonesia can be pretty difficult, as I myself haven't received one. They have a reception report section on their website, and I sent my reception report there. Hopefully, I would receive their QSL card. Last time I have seen someone with VOI QSL was back in 2015.

HCJB (via Weenermoor)

HCJB Radio Deutschland (I might have not said the name right) was heard via SDR receiver located in Dutch Enschede on August 2, 2015. It was heard from 20:49 - 21:00 UTC, and it transmitted from Weenermoor, Germany. The frequency was 3995 kHz, characteristic for HCJB and Ichtys Radio.

Considering that the transmitter power is pretty weak (only 1,5 kW of power), it couldn't be hearable in Croatia. However, via Twente SDR, it was pretty clear. With SINPO of 35354, with a lot of noise, programme could be hearable. Very clear and audible reception occured at times, but sometimes, noise messed up the broadcast.

German commentary was heard until 20:58, when radio tuning noises were heard, some kind of robotic countdown, and then, programme switched to Ichtys Radio.

Reception report was sent on the same day.

China Radio International (via Cerrik)

Yes, It's been a long time since I have put something here, but I just could not DX back then. Anyway, I have started again, and I opened up with something that's pretty characteristic and mainstream for shortwave stations - China Radio International.

China Radio International was heard on January 22nd, 2016, from 11:10 - 11:25 UTC. China Radio International was transmitting from Cerrik, so you would assume it was heard pretty well here, considering I live in Croatia. The frequency was 13665 kHz. 

SINPO was perfect - 55555, without any problems or copying the station. 

During 15 minutes of my listening of English broadcast, various news were heard, including discussion about Jakarta railways, historical cold winter report in Beijing, poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko and so on.

I considered airmailing the reception report, but I couldn't send it. I emailed the reception report to CRI on 19th of February, 2016.

5 days later, Ying Lian responded with :

Although they might consider the report correct, because still, I have listened to their content, I would understand them if they turn the report down, because I cited the wrong time. I accidentaly wrote "10:10 - 10:25" instead of "11:10 - 11:25".

Anyway, we will see what is going to happen with this report.
